Nadigeer-Marwari remedy for females health issues.

Nadigeer is basically a very ancient gypsy marwari community recipe (cure) for those females who are having periods or just gave birth to a child. One thing to make note that recipe is same but ingredients are bit different for two conditions.

Nadigeer – Rajswala (cure for periods cramps) –

Ingredients – 

2 Cups of besan (bareek -fine)

4 Cups powdered almonds

2 Cups desi ghee(good and pure quality)

6 Cups of sugar

6 Table spoons of dry ginger powder

4 Table spoons of turmeric powder

1/2 cup of water

Method – 

1- Wash and dry almonds and deep fry them in 2 cups of desi ghee for 2-3 minutes and grind them. We will use same ghee for further recipe.

2- Now put besan in this ghee and start frying it on the lowest flame.Let the besan turn golden brown. Add this almond powder and fry it very well on low flame for 2-3 minutes more. Close the flame. Now mix in ginger powder, turmeric powder and mix well.

3- Make sugar syrup of water and sugar of thick thread consistency. 2-3 Threads.

4- Grease a steel plate very well with desi ghee. 

5- Now in sugar syrup mix this besan and almonds mix and start the flame on low again.

6- Start mixing it and the moment you see the huge bubbles are coming, pour this mixture into the greased plate.

7- Spread it evenly. Let it become firm and solid. We need to break it into pcs and store in a dry steel (metal) container.

8- The moment you wish to use it, mix two three small cubes (pcs) into a very hot cup of milk and drink.

Nadigeer Mata (for new mothers)

Ingredients – 

2 Cups of besan (bareek -fine)

4 Cups powdered almonds

2 Cups desi ghee  (good and pure quality)

6 Cups of sugar

6 Table spoons of methidana

6 Table spoons of ajwain

1/2 Cup gond(edible gum)

4 Table spoons of turmeric powder

1/2 cup of water

Method –

2- In a little desi ghee fry ajwain, methidana, gond and powder them as well.
