Spiced (sweet n sour mint flavored) mixed nuts. (falahari).


Falahari vrat recipe.

If you are trying this recipe first time please take care of portions. It is a very addictive snack. Pecans and walnuts after getting fried in desi ghee damn yum. Same with raisins. Out of this world recipe it is. If you like less spicey pls do not add blavk pepper and green chillies.

Ingredients

1/2 Cup pecans

1/2 Cup cashews

1/2 Cup Almonds

1/2 Cup walnuts

1/2 Cup pine nuts

6 Cups of fox nuts(phool makhana)

1/4 Cup Kishmish(raisins seedless)

1/4 Cup Pistachios (sliced)

1 1/2 Cup desi ghee (Milma brand or any good brand)

2 Tbsp black pepper powder

1 Tbsp sendha salt (vrat salt)

1 Tbsp amchoor powder

4 Tbsp powdered sugar

4 green chillies (optional)

8-10 Mint leaves (pudina patta)

Method –

1- Clean all dry fruits very well.

2- In a heavy bottom non stick pan heat 1 cup desi ghee first.

3- Fry well fox nuts into it and take out.

4- Now add remaining half cup of desi ghee.

5- Fry pecans, pine nuts, sliced pistachios. On the the lowest possible flame and remove immediately.

6- Add black pepper powder and sendha salt to remaining heated ghee along with rest of the all nuts and fry very well on the lowest flame for 2-4 minutes.

7- Now add pistachios, pine nuts and fox nuts to it.

8- Mix well and close the flame.

9- Now take all this in bowl.

10- Now add two tbsp more desi ghee to heavy bottom pan, heat and fry sliced green chillies and pudina(mint) leaves to it for few seconds and remove. Pour this oil over nuts and mix well.

11- Let it cool. Now sprinkle powdered sugar over it and mix it very well.
